assagida Turan Dursun'un "Kuran'in tanrisi nerede?" isimli makalesinin kabataslak ingilizce cevirisini sunuyorum. Duzeltme ve yorumlariniza aciktir;
WHERE IS THE KORAN'S GOD
According to *Presidency of Religious Affairs translation, 16. and 17. verses of "Kingdom" passage says;
"[67.16] Are you secure of those in the sky that He should not make the earth to swallow you up? Then lo! it shall be in a state of commotion.
[67.17] Or are you secure of those in the sky that He should not send down upon you a punishment? Then shall you know how was My warning."
Those verses start with "men fi'Sokak-Sema" which means those in the sky. Who is in the sky? This is definitely the god.
So these verses explains clearly that the god is in the sky. Many moslim annotators were suprised and confused again because of this case, like many other Koran cases, that the Allah was in the sky. Some of them said; The Allah has a location (See F. Razi, e't - Tefsiru'l Kebir, 30/69)
Naturally, some of them asked these questions by virtue of this allegation;
-If the god was in the sky, he should be smaller than the sky, how can we imagine such a thing?
-If we accept that the god is in the sky, he would be dependent to other things to excist. How can that be possible? (See Elmalili Hamdi Yazir, Hak Dini Kur'an Dili, 7/5233)
Many Koran annotators can not fit "Allah" and "having a location in the sky". Somehow, it is a truth that the Koran itself mentions that clearly. Even the annotators turn aside to bludgeon answers, they can't change this truth. Primitive humans imagined the god in the sky too, just like the modern primitives isn't it? Ebu Muslim claims, some verses call Allah, "those in the sky" because the pre-islamic arabs are used to believe that the god was in the sky. (See F. Razi, 30/70)
The Cow (Bakara) passage, 210. verse says;
"[2.210] They do not wait aught but that Allah should come to them in the shadows of the clouds along with the angels, and the matter has (already) been decided; and (all) matters are returned to Allah."
Presidency of Religious Affairs construes this verse to "Allah's furry should come over the angels" but the verse is not suitable for this meaning. Verse doesn't mean Allah's furry, it means that Allah itself should come. Alltought the Koran clearly mentions this, they commit to add some other meanings into the translation because coming thru the clouds doesn't fit with the Allah and they translate it as Allah's furry. Some Koran explanations includes this standpoint too. (See: Tefsiru'n -Nesefi, 1/105; Tefsiru'l-Celaleyn, 1/31;Taberi, Camiu'l-Beyan,2/191-192; F.Razi, 5/215 )
Torah tells about the gods arrival thru the clouds too. It is even the source. Let's examine these verses in Torah;
"Ahoy Master god, you are so great! (...) You are the one who acquires cars from the clouds." (Torah 104:1-2)
"There, the master god goes to the Egypt as he is driving a fast cloud. The egyptian totems would quake with fear because of his existence." (Torah 19:1)
Withal, both Koran's god's and Torah's god's main location is above the skies, where are his palace and throne. Koran mentions, Allah went to above the skies too, after the creation of the ground and the sky.
Hadith mentions that "Ars" (where is the Allah's palace) is located above the skies. If you examine verses and hadith about "seven mountain goats" which are declared as being upon the Ars and Allah, you can catch the details. Keep in mind, Muhammed went to beyond the skies, so called to his "ars" as well, to have a conversation with the god (Mirac case). These manners draw attention in Torah: "Sing melodies for the one sits on the sky of the skies!" (Torah 68:33)
"Master god is in his holly temple. His throne is in the skies." (Torah 11:4) "Master god, he built his throne in the skies."*
The god of the prehistoric primitives, and the god of the modern primitives, both were located in the skies. That is declared, that god's main location is in the skies. But it is not a reason that he wouldn't sometimes come down. Koran declares: "the god will come on doomday with his angels" (The Daybreak:22), and "the god will come with his eight angels carrying his throne" (The Inevitable: 17). Muhammed says so in a hadis, which is true without dispute according to hadith annotator's;
"Everynight, when 1/3 of the night remains, our master god comes down to the earth's sky..." (See Buhari, e's -Sahih, Kitabu'tanri-Tehacud/14;Tecrid, hadis no:590)
Some moslim annotator's those can't reproach that the god would come down to the earth's sky, and struggle to camuflage the situation by practising the "tevil" method. But those, don't accept this method like Ibn Teymiyye, claim understanding the words as they mean is essential. (See Ibn Teymiyye, Der'u Tearuzi'l-Akli ve'n -Nakl Arapca ,1971, 1/15)
